I have heard so many people say they are going to wait to sell until the market picks up. Although this line of thinking makes sense on the surface, don't lose site of the big picture. Right now rates are low and buyers are able to afford more home than just a few years ago. These are all great conditions for selling. It is true you may not get the high dollar value like your neighbor did a few years back, but that is ok. That just means you will make it up when you purchase at a lower price. Don't forget if you get top dollar on the sale of your house, you will be paying top dollar on the purchase of your new home. Either way, it balances out. Setting a realistic price will get your home sold. And with financing guidelines tightening, there are things you can do as a seller to attract more buyers.
Don't be afraid to sell your home in this market. Make sure you find an aggressive agent who will actively market your home without overcharging you. Say NO to extra fees and high commissions. Call Edge Real Estate Group for a free seller consultation today!
